Bites and balls are my go to when I need a filling snack or a pre work out munch! These chocolate mocha protein bites are pretty darn addicting. The type I like to keep in the freezer because I might eat them all if I leave them out for too long. I love incorporating maca powder in my bites for its superfood powers in mood boosting and hormone balancing! Okay, okay… so here are the deets on these bites so I can get back to snack time over here!
CHOCOLATE MOCHA PROTEIN BITES
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 12 balls
1 c cashews
1 c almonds
2 tbsp chia seeds
3 tbsp hemp seeds
6 tbsp chocolate mocha protein powder (sub chocolate protein + 1/2 tsp ground coffee)
1 tbsp maca powder
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cardamom
1/2 tsp cinnamon
a dash of rose salt
3 tbsp almond milk
Pulse your nuts in the blender until broken up. Add all other ingredients aside from almond milk and pulse until well combined. Slowly add almond milk as needed until thick batter consistency. Scoop out and roll into balls to enjoy!
